About
I am a very experienced, broad spectrum professional, with a fairly unique skill set. I began my career in the field of Engineering, having graduated from Warwick University with a BEng hons. I was fortunate enough to land a position at Ford Assembly Plant at Dagenham, which is where I started to learn my change leadership skills.
Ford Assembly Plant
The early years of my career were a very exciting time for manufacturing. I got to sink my teeth into several interesting challenges, including transforming Ford’s operation to better compete with new Japanese concepts. Under my direction, Dagenham Ford became a ‘lean’ operation long before ‘lean’ was a buzzword!
During my tenure, Ford Dagenham delivered a 20% increase in output – and with that, I gained a passion for positive business transformation.
Moving on from Ford
Wanting fresh challenges, I left the automotive industry in 2007. Over the next few years, I was able to:
- Transform Avon Rubber with a robust and cohesive operating system
- Restructure Amey Aviation to a high performing operation, delivering exceptional outcomes for the business and customers alike
- Pull a JV (Joint Venture) managing prisoner transport from an operation barely at the margins of acceptability, to one with a good and growing reputation
- Fine-tune Honeywell Aerospace into a slick and efficient operation
In 2018, I joined the board at DBpixelhouse – a high-tech, PE backed services company. Here, I helped the business to transition from a small to a medium sized business. I remain a shareholder of DBpixelhouse and Gravit8 to this day, and I am retained to support and advise them on an ongoing basis.
What I do now
With my now, finely-tuned, toolkit of both hard and soft skills, and my extensive experience in successful business transformation at all levels, I set up my own company in 2020. I look forward to working with more great businesses to achieve the next stage in their development.
